Success Self-Sabotage: New Motivation Tips


A few months back I got a subscription to Men’s Fitness Australia magazine and to tell you the truth I’ve been pretty impressed with it.

And coming from me, that’s a pretty big wrap.

I used to hate the usual style of magazines where they have crappy articles and even worse exercise selection.

Men’s Fitness on the whole is big difference and I realised that after having a chat to one of the staffers of the magazine at a recent fitness expo here in Sydney.

That’s what made me subscribe. 95% of stuff in there is stuff that I would write on here myself.

Anway, this isn’t a sales push for the mag. I just really liked what I saw in the latest edition which I started flicking through over the weekend.

The editor Todd Cole had a really cool editorial which I want to share with you, well the watered down version of it anyway:

“It’s funny, a great majority of people beleive success – in any endeavour – comes from a force outside themselves like luck, genetics, opportunity etc … but predominantly success comes from hard work.

“Curiously, we employ a raft of self-sabotaging techniques to prevent our own success and we don’t even know why we’re doing it. We create negative visualisations …

” The point is nothing is stopping you from getting fitter, stronger, healthier, and ultimately happier.

“With goals, self discipline and over a realistic time frame you WILL succeed. The only thing you need is a bit of inspiration”.

It’s true isn’t it? How many times, myself included have we self-sabotaged?

I’m working daily to ensure it doesn’t happen and I’m doing it by constantly re-reading my goals and some tips from my mentors.
