I don’t know about you but just quietly, I am a massive fan of that Masterchef show on Channel 10.
Not the blokiest of things to admit but that’s my secret for today.
“Hi, my name’s Daniel and I like Masterchef”.
It definitely gets you in and I, like most guys, looked at the host Sarah Wilson and thought WOW she looks amazing.

Well, I found out through the July issue of the Women’s Weekly (I didn’t buy it so don’t laugh). Fellas, you’ll understand me if you live with your girl, that the host, Sarah Wilson had been battling some demons of her own before the show started.
She ended up getting an auto-immune disease from basically not listening to her body and her organs started to shut down.
Basically she had as she puts it a massive wake up call.
But this is where she becomes great motivation for women who are in a similar position.
She put on weight because of an under active thyroid condition and has had to battle with accepting a new figure after formerly being a stick thin model in a past life.
Her new shape is actually a size 12 and as you can see from the photo, or if you’ve watched the show she looks absolutely amazing.
I am so happy to see a positive role model like Sarah Wilson on TV showing that women don’t have to all fit into the same box of being a stick thin clothes horse like most of the catwalk models out there.
Sarah shows that you can be beautiful, fit and active and not be a single digit size.
Sarah provides motivation and inspiration for women who have or are battling thyroid conditions that make them put on weight unwillingly.
Sarah could have easily have put up the shutters and blocked everything that she has gone through out and most people in the general public would have been none the wiser.
But she didn’t.

She spoke out for those who are going through mental anguish because of the same issues and for that Sarah I take my hat off to you.
I am sure that you have helped out more than one person because of you being brave and sharing your story.
It’s nothing to be ashamed about having a thyroid condition. So many women that I have trained over the years have battled the same problems.
Now they have a person to relate to who can share their story.
The other good thing about this article was that it shows to women who are on the highway of life at 200km/h and not using the brakes to slow down and take a look at your life before you burn yourself out and your body shuts down.
The one thing that I’ve really learned to do over the last few years is really listen to my body.
It took me a few serious injuries but it finally sunk it.
Sarah Wilson, you’re a gun.
You can see a great interview with Sarah Wilson on the Girl With A Satchel blog.
