By now you should know that I am not a big fan of the gym. I don’t like what goes on in there for the most part and it is definitely not the best place to shed your belly fat.
However, I realise that people like to train in the gym and from time to time, I even get a gym workout routine in.
What this does show you is that it can be done properly. This is the video that will show you how to do it properly.
If you saw my post here last week about the Underbelly Workout I promised you the video to go along with it.
Well here it is!
Why Underbelly Workout? Well, if you’ve seen the show you’ll notice that the actors like to get their gear off and it would be pretty embarrassing if they weren’t in the shape they are in. Right?
WARNING
This gym workout routine is definitely NOT for beginners. You must be a in a regular training routine to give this weight loss workout a go. It will however, blast your belly fat away like nothing else.
When it comes to gym workout routines, I always tell people to do the opposite of what everyone else does in the gym and then you are practically guaranteed that you are doing something right.
This ties in with this quote that I’ve found to inspire you for today:
“When all think alike, no one thinks very much” – Walter Lippmann
What does that mean in relation to the gym?
* Most people are doing crunches to reduce their belly fat
* Most people are running for an hour on the treadmill at 65% of their maximum heart rate
* Most people are using machines that do the hard work for them instead of using the dumbbells like I used in the video above.
Starting to get the picture?
The Aussie Fatblast principles are the anti-gym principles.
Sure, you can do the workouts in the gym, but be prepared for everyone to stare at you like you are from another planet.
But that’s cool. At least you know that you are doing the weight loss workouts that are burning your belly fat while the cardio queen on the treadmill is still trying to workout off that snickers from last week.

Dan, this is bloody brilliant stuff mate.
No machines necessary; all you need is a set of dumbbells and a platform or bench. Once again you’ve proven that you absolutely don’t need a gym to get an incredible workout.
I feel sorry for the folks wasting hours in the gym (and driving to the gym) working in split routines, doing two small body parts a day. What a waste of time!
You’re right that this is advanced, but those who can handle it will torch body fat like no tomorrow!

Spot on Rylan – it’s never to late to jump on the bandwagon. Got a few funny stares while filming this in the gym but that’s why I did it – so people realise that you don’t need slow, boring workouts to burn fat

Thanks for making the video on the “Underbelly Workout”. I can definitely do this one and my abs are my biggest problem. The workout you posted reminded me of my old military workouts. However, we never used the dumbell, but everything else we did in basic training. It’s been almost 17 years since I’ve done an “Underbelly Workout”. Thanks again for the reminder!
